Jackdaws make a start!
Jack & Dawreen seem to have chosen my Bridle Path Nest box to make their nest… along with an annoying spider that keeps building in front of the camera!
I have never watched jackdaws build… they are certainly ambitious in their choice of sticks and the nest has built up pretty quickly. They are also taking out wood shavings from the far corner, where I think the female will lay.
It is interesting watching their behaviour too… there seems quite a lot of tail wiggling by both male and female and both seem to be building the nest. It will be interesting to watch this as it progresses. The camera can been seen on the ‘My live cameras’ tab on my website. I hope to get the audio sorted soon so we can hear them too.

Oh Kate i wonder if the nest will be sucessful, i hope so it would be great to see the eggs and fledgelings.
